JAKARTA - The Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Mahfud MD has warned students and workers who want to demonstrate against the Job Creation Law to beware of intruders.

Because, if the intruders managed to enter, it was believed that the demonstration would end in chaos. Like the previous demonstration.

"Be careful that an intruder invites you to make a fuss or your friend becomes a victim because an intruder wants to find a martyr," Mahfud said in the caption of the video he uploaded on YouTube, Monday, October 19.

Because, it is not impossible that there were intruders looking for victims and then pitting the authorities against each other. "This has entered into our landmark. In terms of law enforcement and National Security Affairs in terms of the police," he said.

Previously, he asked law enforcement officials who secured the demonstration to act humanist. Moreover, carrying out demonstrations to convey aspirations is guaranteed by the 1945 Constitution and guaranteed by Law Number 9 of 1998.

It is known that a number of parties will return to the streets to voice their demands regarding the Omnibus Law on Employment Creation. One of the things that made sure that they would step down was the All Indonesia Student Executive Board (BEM SI). BEM SI coordinator, Remmy Hastian estimates that around 5,000 students will take to the streets in a peaceful demonstration which will be held at 13.00 WIB tomorrow.

This is because even though the rejection of the Job Creation Law has occurred, the government appears to be challenging the public to conduct a judicial review of the law even though they can revoke it.

"The All-Indonesia BEM Alliance stated that it would step back into action to urge the President of the Republic of Indonesia to immediately revoke the Job Creation Law," Remmy said in a written statement.

"We still convey a motion of no confidence to the government and people's representatives who do not side with the interests of the people," he concluded.
