MANADO - The North Sulawesi Regional Police handed over three suspects along with evidence of a case of alleged corruption in the handling of the economic impact of COVID-19 at the Food Service and the Regional Secretariat of the North Minahasa Regency Fiscal Year (TA) 2020 to the North Sulawesi High Prosecutor's Office.

The Director of Special Criminal Investigation at the North Sulawesi Police, Kombes Nasriadi, said the handover of the three suspects and the evidence that caused state losses of more than Rp.

"Today, Tuesday, investigators carried out phase 2, namely handing over the suspect and evidence to the North Sulawesi Prosecutor's Office," he said in Manado, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, May 24.

The three suspects are each a woman with the initials JNM, ASN work, residents of Tikala, Manado, and two men each with the initials MMO, ASN jobs, residents of Airmadidi, North Minahasa, and SE, private jobs, residents of Airmadidi.

The case does not stop here because investigators are still developing other suspects.

"There will be a process of new investigations, namely the crime of money laundering. Because there are several assets that have been traced, investigators have obtained several movable and immovable assets that have been confiscated, and will be used as evidence later in the crime of money laundering. in the next investigation process," said Nasriadi.

Before being handed over to the North Sulawesi Prosecutor's Office, the three suspects underwent a medical examination at the Bhayangkara Hospital in Manado. The three were then handed over to the North Sulawesi Prosecutor's Office, which was accepted by the Pingkan Gerungan Head of Prosecution.
