JAKARTA - PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia (KCI) returns the operational hours of the KRL Commuter Line to the pre-pandemic period, which is from 04.00 WIB to 24.00 WIB every day.

VP Corporate Communications of PT KCI Anne Purba said there were 993 trips every day with 91 train series when operations returned to normal.

"Even though it has returned to normal, the limitation on user capacity on each train has not changed, namely 74 people per train or about 40 percent of the capacity of KRL users," said Anne in a written statement on Sunday, October 18.

Therefore, Anne asked KRL users to arrange departure schedules, such as avoiding rush hours so as not to cause congestion in order to avoid the spread of COVID-19.

"PT KCI invites KRL users to arrange their departure schedules, especially during peak hours from the afternoon to the evening to avoid congestion in trains and stations," said Anne.

This choice of departure schedule with a schedule that returns to normal also gives users more options for departure schedules.

So, users don't have to force themselves to get into a full train for fear of being left behind on the last train schedule.

Anne invites users to be able to follow in order to apply the 3M protocol to the fullest, without the need to always be reminded or supervised by officers.

"In implementing 3M today, KRL users have been disciplined in using effective masks to prevent droples," said Anne.

Previously, PT KCI adjusted the operating hours of the KRL Commuter Line from Thursday, October 15 to Sunday, October 18, with operational hours starting at 04.00 WIB to 22.00 WIB. Adjustments were made in relation to the implementation of the transitional PSBB period in DKI.

Over the past four days, KCI has operated as many as 985 KRL trips with 91 train series operating.
