JAKARTA - The Minister of Environment and Forestry (LHK) Siti Nurbaya Bakar and her entourage visited the Red and White building of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). His presence is to participate in anti-corruption strengthening activities for state administrators with integrity (PAKU Integrity).

After holding the meeting since 08.30 WIB, Minister of Environment and Forestry Siti Nurbaya welcomed the program that must be followed by officials in her ministry along with her partner. Not only that, KLHK also asked to be guided on how to conduct an investigation.

"Many programs include dissemination, understanding values, including technical know-how. Earlier, our Inspector General (inspectorate general) also asked for guidance on how to investigate corruption and so on," said Siti Nurbaya to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada. , South Jakarta, Tuesday, May 24.

Not only that, Siti also said that this meeting also asked for input from the KPK regarding technical public complaints. So, after the audit is carried out, maximum follow-up can be done.

"In my opinion, this is very lively, dynamic, and will continue because its aspirations are very big. The KPK's ideals are very big and we respect that, namely to make this country clean and have responsible officials," he said.

Meanwhile, Acting Spokesperson for the KPK for Prevention, Ipi Maryati, said that anti-corruption briefing for KLHK officials and their partners was important. Moreover, these two institutions have worked together to study environmental protection and management governance systems in 2018.

There are seven problems found by the KPK in the study, namely the unfinished environmental planning instruments, not all control instruments have been established and can be implemented, and policies that cannot be implemented and cannot solve the problems.

In addition, there is no transitional policy in overcoming the progress of development that has an impact on the environment (breakthrough policy), policy dilemmas, weak supervision, and weak law enforcement.

"From this study, the KPK has also provided recommendations," said Ipi in a written statement.

The recommendations given by the KPK are to encourage the preparation of the 2020-2024 RPJMN with the nuances of protecting the environment; optimizing policy instruments for environmental control; joint monitoring of improvement in management of waste management at sea, Citarum Harum, Jakstranas and Jakstrada Garbage, greenhouse emissions, and medical waste; strengthening supervision and law enforcement; and the development of an anti-corruption system in the preparation of environmental permits (IPPLH) such as the complaint mechanism, WBS, SPI, and JAGA.

"This program is a continuation of the same program in 2021. PAKU Integrity is one of the educational programs to increase awareness and knowledge of anti-corruption specifically for state administrators in ministries/agencies," concluded Ipi.
