Kemendes PDTT Hopes An Upward Trend In The Village Budget To Improve People's Welfare

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration (Kemendes PDTT) hopes that the upward trend in the village income and expenditure budget (APB) can improve the welfare of villagers. , conveyed the amount of the Village Budget in 2015 amounted to Rp52 trillion.

In a period of six years, he continued, the total village budget has increased by 57.02 percent to Rp121 trillion in 2021.

He added, the village budget is projected to continue to increase gradually until the year 2045 to Rp381 trillion.

"The increase in the village budget is certainly expected to improve the welfare of villagers," he said in the webinar themed "Projections of Villages, Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration 2022-2045".

He added that the increase in the village budget was in line with the income of villagers which also increased.

It was said that in 2013 the income of village residents was Rp.505,461 per capita per month. In a period of eight years, the total income of villagers increased by 47.97 percent to Rp.971,445 per capita per month.

He projects that the income of villagers will increase gradually to reach IDR 2.4 million per capita per month in 2045.

On that occasion, Nurharyadi also explained that the economy of the villagers in 2045 still largely relies on agriculture, which is 88.44 percent.

"However, the trend continues to decline in line with the increase in rural economic creativity in the non-agricultural sector," he said as quoted by Antara.

Nurharyadi also projects that the number of village-owned enterprises (BUMDes) will continue to increase.

He stated, the number of BUMDes in 2017 was 43,339. In a period of four years, the number of BUMDes has increased by 32.29 percent to 57,288 in 2021.

"All villages in Indonesia are estimated to have had BUMDes in 2028 with a total of 74,968 BUMDes," he said.
