Official Car Of Corruption Eradication Commission, Estimated At Rp1 Billion, DPR: Those Who Submit Budget

JAKARTA - Member of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Ahmad Dimyati Natakusumah, said that the budget for the procurement of new official cars for leaders, supervisory boards and structural officials within the KPK is the institution's proposal in the 2021 budget plan submitted to Commission III of the DPR.

"Well, I think the proposal the Commission because it was not possible Commission III suddenly agree. Because there indicative ceilings, ceiling budget, and allocation (budget), it is proposed each (ministry / agency)," said Dimyati quoted by Antara, Jakarta, Friday, October 16.

He assessed that state officials and institutional officials must be equipped with adequate facilities and infrastructure, including for their mobility. Dimyati did not question the provision of official cars for leaders, supervisory boards and structural officials within the KPK.

"If they want to do the job, then they have to borrow left and right, rent right and left, the car will have problems and the end will be public problems," he said.

Dimyati assessed that if the commissioner and the KPK Supervisory Board in the end did not want to use the budget for the purchase of a new official car, the budget would be the remaining budget financing (SILPA) in 2021, meaning there was a change in the budget that year.

According to him, if the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) did not want to use the budget allocation then it would not need to be used, but he suggested that it should be used because the most important thing was according to procedures.

Previously, the KPK had confirmed that the Indonesian Parliament had approved the budget for official car procurement.

"In the KPK 2021 budget, the information we received is true that there is DPR approval regarding the budget for the procurement of official cars for leadership, adult and structural officials within the KPK," said Acting KPK spokesman Ali Fikri in his statement in Jakarta, Thursday, October 15. .

Based on information, the budget for the official car of KPK chairman Firli Bahuri is worth Rp1.45 billion. Meanwhile, the four deputy chairmen of the KPK are Rp1 billion each.

However, he said, the amount of detailed budget for official car procurement is currently not final.

"It is still under discussion, especially regarding the detailed budget ceiling for each official car unit," said Ali.
