Heavy Rain In Jakarta, 19 Roads Inundated

JAKARTA - Rain with moderate to heavy intensity flushed several areas of Jakarta. The pouring rain caused 19 roads to be inundated.

"In East Jakarta there are 6 roads inundated, in South Jakarta, 9 roads are inundated. In West Jakarta there are 4 roads inundated, and in Central Jakarta there is 1 road inundated," said Head of the DKI Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), M Insaf in his statement, Friday, October 16.

Until 17.00 WIB, Insaf said that there were no reports of residents evacuating. However, there were 7 RTs that were inundated due to rain.

The locations of the inundated RTs are 2 RT in Bangka Village, South Jakarta with a height of 10-70 cm. Five RT in Kelurang Srengseng, North Sukabumi and Kebun Jeruk, West Jakarta.

"In Srengseng Urban Village, there are 2 RTs inundated with water levels of 31 to 70 centimeters. In Sukabumi Utara Village, 1 RT is inundated with a water level of 31 to 70 centimeters. In Kebon Jeruk Village, there are 2 RTs inundated with water levels of 10 to 30 centimeters. , "explained Insaf.

Previously, the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency predicted moderate to heavy rains that could be accompanied by lightning and strong winds in five administrative cities of DKI, Bogor, Bekasi, Depok and South Tangerang.

The weather warning in Jabodetabek is expected to continue until 19:30 WIB.
