Jokowi's Message To Volunteers: Don't Be In A Hurry To Talk About Presidential Candidates For 2024

JAKARTA - Indonesian President Joko Widodo was present at the opening of the V Projo National Health Center. Besides Jokowi, Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo, Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko, Presidential Advisory Council Sidarto Danusubroto, and Projo administrators from various regions were also present.

Jokowi alluded to various national issues, including issues of energy, food, and the world's geopolitical situation. For this reason, the President asked all parties to work hard to resolve the issue. Therefore, he advised the Pro Jokowi (Projo) volunteers not to be in a hurry to talk politics about presidential candidates in the 2024 election.

"Focus on solving existing problems first, ojo milk, don't be in a hurry, although maybe the supporters are here," he said at the opening of the V Projo National Working Meeting in Magelang, Saturday.

He emphasized once again not to be in a hurry because other issues, such as the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, must be resolved.

"After that, I will only enter the name, I will hear the decision from all of you. I will talk to you, so don't be in a hurry because the current political dynamics are also not clear," he said, quoted from ANTARA.

He emphasized that which party nominates whom is not yet clear, so don't be mistaken.

Jokowi said that later he would hold a large national-level meeting for all volunteers, not only Projo. This is to show that all volunteers are still solid and still one.

"I will decide later that I will definitely ask all of you and all of your brothers and sisters. I don't decide for myself, I'm not that typical. I asked the chairman first," said Jokowi, who is also the Projo coach.

The President conveyed that all must realize that due to the pandemic for more than 2 years, conditions of uncertainty have greatly increased, not only Indonesia, but all countries in the world are experiencing the same thing.

The pandemic is almost over, continued the President, following a new problem called the war between Russia and Ukraine. One problem has not been solved, another big problem arises. It seems that the war is far from Indonesia. However, the impact all countries experience.

"The economy has not recovered due to the pandemic and war has emerged, so I must state it as it is. All countries today are not easy. Our country is also not easy to face this big problem," he said.

Jokowi continued, "The economic recovery that has been calculated will emerge this year due to the war between Russia and Ukraine. Do not consider this a normal thing, it is not easy and it is not easy to manage it."
