Man With Mental Disorders Who Attacked Mosque Manager At Condet, Claims To Be Habib's Family And Arab Descendants

JAKARTA - ODMK (people with mental problems) or ODGJ (people with mental disorders) who were secured by officers from the East Jakarta Social Sub-Department's Rapid Response Team (TRC) were later identified as Fadilah (38) from Purwakarta, West Java.

From the results of the examination by the East Jakarta Social Sub-dept. TRC officer, the young man kept a replacement receipt for his Identity Card (KTP) and a knife.

The ODMK youth also admitted that he came from the Habib family and was of Arab descent.

The incident began on Thursday, May 19, at around 21:20 WIB. The ODMK or ODGJ perpetrators who kept sharp weapons were in a mosque courtyard in the RT 05/01 area, Jalan Raya Condet, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta.

At that time, the ODMK man was sleeping in the courtyard of the mosque before he went berserk.

The East Jakarta Social Sub-dept. TRC P3S officer, Kurniawan, who carried out security for the ODMK or ODGJ man, said the ODGJ man was previously lying in the courtyard of the Condet mosque.

"Then he was reprimanded slowly, if you want to lie down, don't stay here or anything. If you are well rebuked, suddenly he takes out a knife. He was angry and unclear, calling him the Habib family and Arab descent," said Kurniawan when confirmed by VOI, Friday, May 20.

After checking, there was no ID card from his body. The perpetrator who had gone berserk by holding a knife was finally surrounded by residents and members of Babinsa. Finally, the ODGJ was successfully secured and the residents reported it to the East Jakarta Social Sub-Department's TRC P3S officer.

When checked, it turns out that the ODGJ has a receipt for a replacement ID card.

"He confessed that after being asked, he said his name as it was written on the receipt. His name (ODGJ) was Fadilah. The receipt belongs to him, the address is Purwakarta, West Java," he said.

Despite having a receipt as a substitute for identity, Fadilah is still considered a young man with a mental disorder. The reason is, the receipt that he kept was also found full of scribbles in unclear language.

"The ODGJ is still the problem, because the board of directors has also been scribbled. There is no clear language. Thank God, there are no victims. At this time, we are referring ODGJ to Duren Sawit Hospital," he explained.

Furthermore, after undergoing the post-mortem at Duren Sawit Hospital the results are out, then the ODGJ will be sent to a social rehabilitation center.
