Lost Angler Hit By Waves Found Dead Floating In Benoa Waters

DENPASAR - The joint SAR team finally found a fisherman who disappeared and drowned in the waters of Benoa, Denpasar, Bali.

The victim, Made Suwitra (25) was found by the joint SAR team dead.

"At approximately 08.45 WITA, the victim was found dead," said Head of the Bali Basarnas Office, Gede Darmada, Friday, May 20.

The location of the victim's discovery is in the Benoa Harbor area, which is 700 M west of LKP, at coordinates 08°44'59.84"S - 115°12'53.67"T.

"His body was floating and found by local fishermen, then they took it to Pasir Pier, Benoa Harbor.

Furthermore, the victim was taken to Sanglah Hospital by using the Bali Provincial BPBD ambulance," he said.

As previously reported, the jukung was hit by a wave on the shipping route at Benoa Harbor, Denpasar, Bali, Wednesday, May 18. An angler named Dika was rescued, one other person, Made Suwitra, was missing.

From the report received by Basarnas Bali, it is known that the two victims went to sea to fish. The two departed from Kelan Beach, Badung Regency, at around 06.00 WITA. However, when they were in prison 4 or the Benoa Harbor shipping line, they were hit by the waves.
