The Role Of Sabu Bandar In West Lombok, Police: Long Disappeared, Arrested Has Become A Dealer

LOMBOK - Police have uncovered the role of a suspected narcotics dealer who circulated methamphetamine in Sheets, West Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

The head of the West Lombok Police Narcotics Investigation Unit, Adjunct Commissioner of Police Faisal Afrihadi, explained that the alleged role of the narcotics trafficker, identified as AL (31) was revealed from the initial arrest of a suspected trafficker with the initials BM (24).

"So, from BM's statement, the evidence that was seized was said to have been purchased from the Navy," said Faisal by telephone in Mataram, quoted from Antara, Thursday, May 19.

During the arrest of BM on Jalan Raya Grepek, Labuan Tereng Village, Lembar District, Wednesday, May 18, the police confiscated three clear plastic clips ready to be circulated containing 1.86 grams of crystal methamphetamine.

To the police, BM mentioned the initials AL as the source of the illicit goods. The Navy's presence in one of the houses in Kebon Talo Hamlet, Labuan Tereng Village, Sheet District, was later revealed.

"From the second TKP (the crime scene), we arrested the Navy along with three other people," he said.

Their arrest was confirmed by the finding of crystal methamphetamine from a number of clear plastic clips that the Navy had thrown onto the bathroom roof. "It weighs up to 7.28 grams," said Faisal.

Apart from narcotics, there are also equipment that is suspected to be used for shabu-shabu consumption, electric scales, cell phones, two-wheeled vehicles, and cash which is suspected to be the result of selling methamphetamine worth Rp. 525 thousand.

Faisal said that his party was familiar with AL, who has now been revealed as the alleged drug dealer.

"He (AL) is a narcotics case recidivist. He has been in prison several times," he said.

With such a criminal record, Faisal said that the Navy had been included in the list of police supervision and guidance. However, not long after being under surveillance, the Navy ran away.

"Long time missing, no news and now caught, again acting like a dealer. It's about 7 months away from our target," said Faisal.

As for the role of the three people who were also arrested from the Navy's house, said Faisal, they are still under further investigation at the West Lombok Police.

"So, one person plays a role as a courier, the other is the owner of the house, and there is a woman, we are still keeping her in custody. However, the urine test results were positive for narcotics," he said.
