Bima Arya: Disdukcapil Go To School In Bogor Has Relation To Pilkada, Presidential And Legislative Elections

BOGOR - Bogor Mayor Bima Arya Segiarto said that the Disdukcapil Go to School program which carried out pick-up and registration of identity cards (KTP) for students in grades 10 to 12 was related to the need for voter data in general elections (elections).

"Every Pilkada period, we must collect as much data as possible to (students) obtain their rights. So there is a connection between the Regional Head Election, the Presidential Election, and the Legislative Election," said Bima Arya after attending the ID card recording program at Disdukcapil Go to School at SMAN 1 Bogor City, West Java, Antara , Thursday, May 19.

Bima said that the recording of electronic ID cards for students is basically to inform them of the rights they can get.

In addition to the right to vote in elections, ID cards owned by 17-year-old students are useful for making a driving license (SIM) and taking care of other demographic interests.

However, electronic ID cards for students or teenagers aged 17 are really needed for data collection at the Bogor City KPU.

Kadisdukcapil Sujatmiko Baliarto added that the pick-up program for recording electronic ID cards for high school students or equivalent from grade 10 to grade 12 at school will definitely affect voter data at the KPU.

However, he assured that this program was not aimed at focusing on political interests. The clarity of the identity of a student or teenager in the City of Bogor will have an impact on the needs of each individual to take care of the administration which is starting to be integrated through an electronic ID card.

Regarding the data for updating voters' data at the Bogor City KPU, said Sujatmiko, his party continues to coordinate in meetings which are held once a month.

Coordination of data collection will continue until the deadline required by the Bogor City KPU is completed.

"So, the data is from us, the KPU asks the Disdukcapil. We will continue to update (update) it," he said.
