TANGSEL - Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Tangerang Police (Tangsel), AKP Aldo Primananda Putra revealed the reason the perpetrators abused MZA, a 16-year-old boy whose tongue was burned by a cigarette and stabbed by a screwdriver in South Tangerang (Tangsel).

Aldo said, MZA was tortured by his friends because he was considered the cause of the team's defeat while playing the Mobile Legend (ML) game. Initially, continued Aldo, the victims were invited by the perpetrators to stay overnight to play games, mabar (play together) at a friend's house in the area, Serpong, South Tangerang, Sunday, May 15. "They want to play online games, namely as a team, then the team loses which is suspected to be the victim's fault. As a result of this defeat, the victim becomes an outlet for his friends," said Aldo, Thursday, May 19. According to Aldo, the victim was forced to stick out his tongue to turn off a lit cigarette. In addition, the victim was threatened with being stabbed with a knife or a screwdriver which was heated by the perpetrator and affixed to the victim's skin.

"Cigarettes burned on the tongue until the ashes of the cigarette died in the tongue. Then the victim, who had a phobia of fruit, was afraid of papaya fruit at the crime scene," he said. "The victim was also scared with a knife to be threatened with being stabbed and then the victim was also taped with a screwdriver that had been heated by the perpetrators," he added. The family who knew about the incident reported it to the police along with the local RT. Then the victim was immediately given treatment and psychological assistance, in order to recover mentally. "We from the police have accompanied the victim to deliver the post-mortem to the hospital and seek treatment for the injuries suffered by the victim," he said.
