MATARAM - West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Investigators have completed the handling of the criminal case of trafficking in persons (TPPO) to Turkey involving two suspects with the initials SH and DH from East Lombok Regency. So the handling of this case has been completed at the investigation stage," said Head of the Sub-Sector for Youth, Children and Women (Renakta) of the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum) of the NTB Police, Adjunct Senior Commissioner of Police Ni Made Pujawati in Mataram, Wednesday 18 May. With this information, the spokesman for the NTB Prosecutor's Office Efien Saputra said that his party was now following up by preparing an indictment for the needs of the trial. He confirmed that this case had been transferred to the East Lombok District Attorney. The two suspects have also been detained by prosecutors at the Selong Detention Center, East Lombok Regency. "Because the locus and the witnesses are in East Lombok, the trial of this case will take place at the East Lombok District Court," he said, quoted by Antara.

The role of SH and DH was revealed as the party who dispatched the female victim with the initials LS (19). DH acts as a job seeker, while SH as a sender of LS to Jakarta. DH recruits LS to work in Turkey with the lure of a salary of Rp. 21 million per month. As a result, LS was willing to be dispatched. Before leaving, LS got fit money or pocket money from SH worth Rp. 3 million. By being willing to go through an SH agent, LS was accommodated in Jakarta, which was connected to a central agent with the initials AQ. AQ's whereabouts are still being sought by the police. When he was sent to Turkey, LS received harsh treatment from his employer. He also fled to the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Ankara, Turkey. With the LS report, the roles of SH and LH were revealed. Both were arrested by the police in January 2022, at their respective residences in the East Lombok Regency area. According to reports, SH and DH allegedly dispatched the victim without permission and procedures. Evidence regarding the act has been found from the results of the police investigation. Therefore, from the results of the police case, SH and DH were designated as suspects who were suspected of Article 10 and or Article 11 Juncto Article 4 of Law No. 21/2007 concerning eradication of TIP and Article 81 and or Article 83 of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 18/2017 concerning the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers.
