It Is Certain To Go To Makkah, Ministry Of Religion Reminds Congregants To Pay Off Hajj Fees To Maximize May 20

MATARAM - There are 401 pilgrims who have been confirmed to depart for the Holy Land of Makkah, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

The Office of the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) of Mataram City reminded those who were confirmed to leave to pay the cost of organizing the pilgrimage (BPIH) until the maximum limit of May 20, 2022.

"Based on Friday's data (May 13), there were 82 hajj candidates who had not paid the BPIH. The remaining 319 people have made their payment," said Head of the Mataram City Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) HM Amin in Mataram, Tuesday 17 May.

Amin hopes that as many as 82 hajj candidates who have not paid off their BPIH can take advantage of the remaining time for repayment, because until now there is no information that there will be an extension of the period for paying off their BPIH from the government.

That is, if the prospective hajj pilgrims do not pay off until the maximum limit on May 20, 2022, the portion number will automatically be replaced by pilgrims who are on the reserve list.

"We have 74 people on the reserve list, and they have also been asked to pay off the BPIH, so that when the payment is closed and there are pilgrims who have not paid, they can immediately fill the portion," he said, as reported by Antara.

It is said, the amount of BPIH for Hajj pilgrims in 2022 for Lombok Embarkation is set at around Rp. 41 million. This number is up from the 2020 BPIH of around Rp. 38 million.

Thus, he said, for pilgrims who have withdrawn the payment fee, they just need to confirm with their respective banks to make payments and repay them according to the provisions.

Meanwhile, pilgrims who do not collect repayment fees are asked to come and report to the Mataram Ministry of Religion Office and make a cover letter for the proposal to their respective banks.

"Those who do not take repayment fees, just add what is not in accordance with the 2022 BPIH," he said.

While alluding to the free Hajj ritual guidance activities from the Indonesian Hajj Brotherhood Association (IPHI) of Mataram City, which was scheduled for May 18, it was postponed to May 20, 2022, and will be carried out for eight days.

"After the opening at the mayor's office on Friday, rituals will be held at six mosques in each sub-district and finally field practice will be carried out," he said.
