The Aceh Sharia Bank ATM Burglary In Banda Aceh Was Caught By Residents, Perpetrators Left The ATM Machine Then Escaped With Avanza

BANDA ACEH - Residents of Banda Aceh thwarted the efforts of five men who were suspected of trying to break into the Automated Teller Machine (ATM) machine belonging to Bank Aceh Syariah located in the VOZ Coffee area, Lampaseh Aceh, Banda Aceh.

"It was an attempted theft of an ATM machine, the action was caught by residents who passed around the TKP and the perpetrators immediately fled," said Kasatreskrim of the Banda Aceh Police, Kompol M Ryan Citra Yudha, quoted by Antara, Saturday, May 14.

Ryan said that related to the incident on Saturday morning at around 03.00 WIB, the perpetrators did not manage to steal the ATM machine belonging to the regional government.

"Thank God the machine and the money in it are still intact, but we are still investigating this incident," he said.

Ryan explained, so far the Innafis Satreskrim unit of the Banda Aceh Police has conducted a crime scene investigation and secured the evidence used by the perpetrators.

The perpetrators of this theft attempt, said Ryan, numbered five people, when they carried out their action they used a white Avanza car and managed to escape without bringing the proceeds of their crime.

Meanwhile, the ATM machine was found at a distance of about four meters from its initial position, and in a damaged condition.

"We have secured the evidence at the Banda Aceh Police for further investigation," said Commissioner Ryan.
