Taking Advantage Of The Pilkades Moment, Mukomuko Regency Government Opens Vaccine Outlets In 64 Villages

MUKOMUKO - The government of Mukomuko Regency, Bengkulu Province, plans to open vaccine booths for people spread across 64 villages that hold simultaneous village head elections (pilkades).

"We plan to open vaccine booths during the simultaneous Pilkades in 64 villages in this area," said Assistant I for Administration and Welfare at the Mukomuko Regency Government Secretariat, Abdiyanto in Mukomuko, Antara, Friday, May 13.

He said this was related to the results of a work agreement with the Mukomuko Regency COVID-19 Handling Task Force related to preventing the transmission and spread of the corona virus.

The local government mobilized all health workers from the RSUD, Health Service, and puskesmas to provide COVID-19 vaccination services to people spread across 64 villages in this area.

He said his party opened vaccine booths at every polling station (TPS) for simultaneous village head elections in 64 villages in this area.

"We are opening vaccine booths at polling stations to provide vaccination services for people who will exercise their right to vote at the village election polling stations," he also said.

Dozens of health workers in this area provide mass vaccination services for residents who have not received the vaccine dose I to residents who have received dose I but not doses II and III or complementary.

The regional COVID-19 Handling Task Force targets COVID-19 vaccination of at least 90 percent of residents in 64 villages holding simultaneous village head elections.

Mukomuko Police Chief AKBP Witdiardi suggested that the local government should open vaccine booths for communities spread across 64 villages to hold simultaneous village head elections.

"We recommend the local government and related agencies to open vaccine booths for the community during the election day for village heads simultaneously in this area," he said.
