COVID-19 Update As Of May 10: 456 New Cases From Examination Of 208,148 Specimens

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 208,148 specimens were examined with the results of 456 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,049,141 people and active cases have decreased by 223 to 5,855 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Tuesday, May 10.

Today's recovered cases increased by 659 cases, bringing the total to 5,886,870 recovered people. Then, there were 20 positive confirmations that died and a total of 156,416 people.

The province with the highest new cases is DKI Jakarta with 150 cases and a total of 1,248,572 cases. Followed by West Java with 98 new cases with a total of 1,105,767 cases. Banten has 51 new cases and a total of 292,608 cases. Then, Central Java with 36 new cases and a total of 627,240 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 222 recovered cases. Followed by Central Java with an additional 186 recovered cases, DKI Jakarta with an additional 83 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 31 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 96,634,204.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week was 0.36 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 5,183 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

So far, 199,352,565 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 165,707,687 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 41,133,856. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
