KY Hopes That The Candidates For Supreme Court Justices And Supreme Court Corruption Judges Are Accepted By The DPR

JAKARTA - The Judicial Commission (KY) hopes that the House of Representatives (DPR) will accept the proposed names of candidates for Supreme Court justices and candidates for ad hoc judges for corruption crimes, which have passed the final selection stage, for the Supreme Court (MA).

"KY hopes that the candidates who will undergo the fit and proper test can be fully accepted by the DPR," said KY member and Head of the Recruitment Division for Judges Siti Nurdjanah in Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, May 10.

KY officially announced eight candidates for Supreme Court justices and three candidates for ad hoc judges for corruption in the Supreme Court who had passed the final selection stage. Furthermore, the prospective judge will undergo a fit and proper test to obtain approval from Commission III of the DPR.

Siti said that KY will try to establish intense communication with Commission III of the DPR as a working partner, so that the names of the proposed judges pass the due diligence and compliance test.

The candidates for Supreme Court justices and ad hoc judges for corruption in the Supreme Court have undergone a series of selections at KY, starting from administration, quality, personality, health, track record, and interviews.

Siti added that the selection was aimed at finding eight candidates for the Supreme Court justices needed by the Supreme Court. The details are one judge for the civil chamber, four judges for the criminal chamber, one judge for the religious chamber, and two judges for the special tax administration chamber.

In addition to the candidates for Supreme Court justices, the Supreme Court also needs three people for ad hoc corruption judges. A number of names of candidates for ad hoc Corruption Court judges who passed include ad hoc Corruption Judge of Makassar High Court Agustinus Purnomo Hadi, ad hoc Corruption Court Judge of Palembang District Court​​​​​​ Arizon Mega Jaya, and Ad hoc Corruption Court Judge of Mataram High Court Rodjai S Irawan.
