15 Tents At Kemis Market Sold Out On Fire, Losses Reached Hundreds Of Millions Of Rupiah

TANGERANG - A total of 15 rented houses burned to the ground in Tanjung Village, Suka Aci Village, Pasar Kemis, Tangerang Regency. The loss is known to reach hundreds of millions of rupiah.

The Head of Emergency and Logistics of BPBD, Abdul Munir, said the incident occurred on Monday, May 9, at 14.30.

"The fire occurred according to reports received at around 14.30 WIB. A total of 15 rented houses were burned. The loss was approximately Rp. 350 million," Abdul said when confirmed, Monday, May 9.

The incident began when the witness, Solikhin, saw smoke entering the rented house. When he looked outside, his house was on fire.

"The rented side of the house caught fire, then I ran to the house of the landlord, Wijaya, informed the owner of the fire. Then the landlord and witnesses were also assisted by residents to help extinguish it," he explained.

The firefighters who received the report immediately dispatched two fire engines with 15 personnel from Mako Curug and Pasar Kemis.

"There are two units of fire trucks that were deployed from Mako Curug, Pasar Kemis Post with fifteen personnel," he said.

He explained, as for the current condition, the fire can be handled by officers who are assisted by local residents.

"The fire can be extinguished at around 15.00 WIB, now the officers are still in the process of cooling it down," he said.

He said that there were no fatalities in the fire incident.

"There are zero fatalities, the total loss is around Rp. 350 million," he said.
