The West Java Islamic Society Supports The Duet Of Ridwan Kamil And Anies Baswedan For The 2022 Presidential Election

JAKARTA - DPW Syarikat Islam (SI) West Java supports West Java Governor M Ridwan Kamil to run in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres) and they hope Ridwan Kamil can duet with DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan.

Chairman of the West Java SI DPW KH Nandang Koswara, Sunday, in Bandung City, said his party supports and provides encouragement for young leaders such as Ridwan Kamil who consistently fights for Islamic systems and values, Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution.

Nandang assesses that Ridwan Kamil has the capacity as a young leader that Indonesia needs in the current situation.

In several discussions, Nandang assessed that Ridwan Kamil had shown commitment and policies that favored a just and prosperous society as well as an Islamic community economy, including protecting minority groups.

"Of course Kang Emil's vision and mission (Ridwan Kamil) is supported even though it is still early. However, we will continue to provide support through the process that will go forward," he said after the West Java SI DPW friendship in Bandung.

Even in order to win the 2024 presidential election, his party hopes that Ridwan Kamil can duet with Anies Baswedan.

"If Anies Baswedan has a duet with Ridwan Kamil, human calculations will definitely win. Sorry, it's a bit harsh, but we don't make small talk about it," he said.

According to him, the two figures are considered to be a young generation who are committed to taking sides with the people.

Nandang also admits that this hope comes from the congregations of da'wah that is often held by SI.

"Anies and Ridwan Kamil are a duet. It is now possible with anyone. But Syarikat Islam hopes that, from small group da'wah, we hope that there will be a maneuver in that direction (the Anies-Ridwan Kamil duet). pure people's choice," he said.

SI Jabar itself according to him as an Islamic trading organization still adheres to the regulations of the Central SI board to focus on promoting economic da'wah.

However, it did not close the door for its cadres to engage in politics, one of which allowed the Secretary of the West Java DPW SI to join the Indonesian National Champion Movement (GNIJ) which became the motor of volunteer supporters for Ridwan Kamil.

"We really appreciate GNIJ. Because the condition of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia needs smart children to lead this country. We are concerned about the current conditions. The state needs supplements," he said.

In the same place, volunteer Ridwan Kamil who is a member of the West Java Indonesian Champion National Movement (GNIJ) together with the West Java DPW Syarikat Islam (SI) specifically held a grand friendship while encouraging Ridwan Kamil to run for the 2024 presidential election.

"This is part of the efforts of the people of West Java. Support and ready to win Ridwan Kamil as the next President of the Republic of Indonesia," said SI Regional Secretary for West Java, Suhara Iskandar

He explained that the support of elements of society for Ridwan Kamil to lead Indonesia continues to emerge. Especially in West Java, he has made many achievements and innovations so far.

"The community favors Kang Emil as president, not without reason. His concern for the economic empowerment of the people is one of the supporting factors," he said.

Suhara explained the programs "One Pesantren One Product" (OPOP), "One Village One Hafizh" (Sadesha), "English For Ulama" to the issuance of Perda Pesantren, showing Ridwan Kamil's seriousness in improving the welfare of Muslims.

"There are not many leaders who pay as much attention to religion and society as Kang Emil," he added.

Ridwan Kamil is the winner of the 2018 West Java Governor and Deputy Governor Election. Previously, the ITB Architecture graduate carried the mandate as the Mayor of Bandung and a series of breakthroughs were made by Ridwan Kamil during his leadership.
