Soaring 26 Percent, The Peak Of Backflow At El Tari Airport Kupang Is Predicted To Happen Today

NTT - The peak of backflow through El Tari Kupang Airport, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) is predicted to occur on D+6 Lebaran 2022 or Sunday 8 May.

The El Tari Airport Air Transport Command predicts a 26 percent increase in passengers from Saturday, May 7 yesterday.

"We predict an increase of 26 percent compared to last Saturday where the number of homecomers only reached 3,949 people," said the General Manager of PT. Angkasa Pura I El Tari I Nyoman Noer Rohim Airport in Kupang, quoted from Antara, Sunday 8 May.

He said that it was estimated that there were 2,571 homecomers arriving in Kupang, while those who departed were estimated at 2,406 travelers.

So the total is estimated at 4,977 travelers. However, he said, this was only an estimate because the number could be more than expected or it could be lower than expected.

Furthermore, he said, on Saturday, May 7, the number of homecomers who passed through El Tari airport reached 3,949 travelers, both departing and returning.

Homecomers who arrived at El Tari airport on Saturday, May 7, reached 2,169 travelers. An increase of about 19 percent compared to 2021 which reached 1,810 travelers.

Meanwhile, those departing from the airport when compared to 2021 in the same period, experienced a decrease of 11 percent. This is because in 2021 the number of homecomers on the return flow of H+4 will reach 2,016 people and in 2022 it will only reach 1,781 people.
