Head Of Terminal Poris-Lebak Bulus Umbau Passengers Not To Get Off On The Road

TANGERANG - Head of Poris Plawad Terminal, Alwien Athena, appealed to residents who were bus passengers not to get off the road. This is reminded to prevent traffic accidents.

"I urge passengers if they get off the village to go to the Terminal. Because it is safer and monitored from unwanted things," said Alwien when contacted by VOI, Friday, May 6.

Alwien admitted that he couldn't do much about the habits of passengers who didn't get off on the side of the road. Because it's part of the service for passengers for the busway authorities.

"So it's like this, the bus masters also ordered them (bus drivers). Because of the service. (It's like) If it's like that, if you can pick up passengers in front of the house, yes in front of the house," he said.

Meanwhile, Head of Lebak Bulus Terminal, Hernanto, said that his party would cooperate with the South Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept. The goal is to be able to arrange the busway to drop its passengers at the Terminal.

"We are coordinating with the Transportation Sub-Department to get off at the terminal. We urge drivers not to drop off passengers outside the terminal," he said.

The Head of the Bureau of Communication and Public Information at the Ministry of Transportation, JA Barata, reminded and appealed to people who use road transportation, both Inter-City and Inter-Provincial (AKAP) and Inter-City-In-Provincial (AKDP) buses to get on or off at the official bus terminal.

This is regulated in Law No. 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation in article 143 which states that the transportation of people with Public Motorized Vehicles on the route (public buses) is obliged to raise or lower passengers at the Terminal.
