PALEMBANG - A total of 7,160 homecoming vehicles have crossed the Trans Sumatra Toll Road through the Kramasan Toll Gate (GT), Ogan Ilir, South Sumatra to Lampung Province on D+3 Lebaran 2022.

Traffic Manager of PT Waskita Sriwijaya Toll Road, Dian Indra, said that thousands of vehicles were recorded to have passed from GT Kramasan since Friday morning starting at 05.00 WIB - 15.00 WIB.

"The first highest shift was at 10:00 WIB - 12.00 WIB, there were two thousand vehicles passing to Lampung from here," he said as quoted by Antara, Friday, May 6.

According to him, seeing the condition of the flow of vehicles arriving this afternoon, it is estimated that the number of homecoming vehicles could increase by around 30-50 percent.

"We estimate that the number of vehicles can continue to increase this afternoon and continue this evening because the flow of arrivals is monitored dynamically," he added.

The toll road manager has added five satellite substations and deployed two officers who will pick up the ball if travelers need to refill their E-toll balance.

However, he continued, travelers would be better off checking their respective E-toll balances before entering the GT in order to minimize long queues of vehicles at the GT.

Monitoring at the location, it appears that homecoming vehicles including AKAP buses, small travel buses, private cars with luggage on roofs with police numbers including those from Bandung, Jakarta and Yogyakarta, started arriving this Friday afternoon.

The group of homecoming vehicles came from the direction of Kertapati, Palembang City and entered the Kramasan Toll Gate, Ogan Ilir smoothly.

On the other hand, the flow of homecoming vehicles leaving the Kramasan Toll Gate is also monitored.
