Traffic Flow At Peak Tourist Sites Predicted To Increase Significantly Thursday 5 May

BOGOR - Bogor Police predicts a significant increase in traffic flow at tourist sites on D+3 Eid 2022.

"There has been a significant increase, especially at tourist sites," said Head of the Traffic Unit (Kasatlantas) of the Bogor City Police, AKP Galih Apria, in Bogor City, as reported by Antara, Wednesday, May 4.

Galih said three tourist sites that will be crowded with visitors are the Bogor Nirwana Residence (BNR), Kuntum Farmfield, and the Botanical Gardens.

"So our focus is to launch the arrival and return of vehicles from tourist locations," he said.

Galih expects the increase in the number of tourists will still occur until this weekend considering the long school holiday until May 12, 2022

He estimates the number of vehicles will increase by 20 to 25 percent on Saturday (7/5) and Sunday (8/5).

The number of vehicles entering the city of Bogor on the 2022 Eid holiday is estimated to reach more than 250,000.

This figure is close to the number of vehicle traffic in 2019 before the COVID-19 pandemic which reached more than 300,000.

As on Wednesday or D+2, the police enforced traffic engineering on the roads of tourist sites, including those around the Botanical Gardens and the Bogor Palace.
