Police Guard Id Prayers For Aboge Muslims In Banyumas

JAKARTA - The Wangon Sector Police took part in securing the implementation of the new Eid prayer today by Aboge Muslims (Alif Rebo Wage) at the Baitussalam Jami Mosque, Cikakak Village, Banyumas Regency, Central Java.

The Head of the Wangon Police, Adjunct Police Commissioner Suprijadi, said the security activities involved three members of the Wangon Police and the Wangon Koramil, as quoted from Antara.

The Eid prayer at the Baitussalam Jami Mosque was attended by around 500 Aboge worshipers. Meanwhile, when the gathering was held after the Eid prayer, it was not only attended by Aboge congregation, it also involved residents who had celebrated Eid al-Fitr 1 Syawal 1443 Hijriah on Monday (2/5).

The implementation of the Aboge Muslim prayer is centered at the Baitussalam Jami Mosque because the residents of Gandarusa Hamlet have performed it on Monday (2/5) even though the celebration is on Wednesday (4/5).

Apart from Wangon Sub-district, Aboge Islam adherents in Banyumas Regency are also scattered in a number of sub-districts, including Ajibarang, Pekuncen, and Gumelar.
