Police Apply One Way To The Peak

JAKARTA - Bogor Resort Police, West Java, enforces one-way traffic flow to the Puncak area. Don't know how long this one way will be implemented.

This one-way application starts from the Gadog Intersection, Jalan Megamendung-Ciawi, towards the Puncak Line, Bogor Regency. Head of the Bogor Police Traffic Unit, Adjunct Commissioner of Police Dicky Anggi Pranata, said that the "one way" will be enforced at 07.30 WIB until the heavy traffic flow from Jakarta to Puncak (bottom up to the top) returns to normal.

Dicky has not been able to confirm the duration of the implementation of "one way". However, he hopes that the congestion point can be unraveled not too long ago.

Currently, the flow of vehicles from Greater Jakarta to the summit is estimated at around 3,000 vehicles.

According to Dicky, the route connecting Bogor Regency to Cianjur Regency is not widely used as a homecoming route, but as a tourist route for the 2022 Eid holiday.

"In Bocimi (Bogor-Ciawi-Sukabumi) there is no overcrowding, while it is still safe. It has been observed that those heading to Pelabuhan Ratu are also local people. This means that shipments from Greater Jakarta are not too large," said Dicky, Wednesday, May 4, as reported by Antara.

However, the point that is predicted to experience density is precisely in tourist attractions. Because of that, his party has prepared a number of alternative routes that can be used by people who will travel.

For example, to Taman Safari Indonesia, you can take the route from the Nyiur Valley or from Pasir Muncang.

"So it is indeed in a condition where there will be a density point, we have also prepared alternative routes that can be used by the community," said Dicky.
