West Aceh Health Office Continues To Improve Vaccine Achievements For Teenagers

BARAT ACEH- In order to continue to accelerate the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, the West Aceh District Health Office is now pushing to increase the COVID-19 vaccine for teenagers. This is done as an effort during the pandemic to improve health.

"Vaccination for teenagers is very important in order to prevent the transmission of COVID-19," said Head of the West Aceh District Health Office, Syarifah Junaidah in Meulaboh, Monday, May 2.

He explained that currently his party is targeting to vaccinate teenagers in West Aceh Regency by 2022, as many as 20,087 people.

Of the total, he said, as many as 14,068 teenagers in West Aceh Regency had received the first dose of vaccination, and 11,118 people had the second dose of vaccination.

Meanwhile, according to Syarifah Junaidah, only 10 teenagers have received the third dose of vaccination.

With the achievement of the third dose of vaccination still low, the West Aceh District Health Office appealed to young people in West Aceh to immediately carry out booster vaccinations to increase body immunity and maintain health.

"For teenagers who have not received the third dose of vaccine, we urge you to immediately visit the nearest vaccine outlet to get a booster vaccine," said Syarifah Junaidah, as quoted by Antara.
