Metro Jaya Police Chief Ensures Home Security For Jakarta Residents Left Behind

JAKARTA - The police together with the TNI and the regional government will hold a joint patrol in order to secure the house whose residents are leaving for Lebaran 2022.

"Convey the news to our relatives who are going home to enjoy the warmth of staying in touch with their families in their hometowns and we are guarding the abandoned houses," said Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran as reported by Antara, Saturday, April 30.

Inspector General Fadil also said another objective of the operation this time was to provide a sense of security for the community and minimize the occurrence of criminal acts.

A total of 572 joint TNI/Polri personnel together with the regional government will be alerted in large-scale patrols that will be carried out routinely.

"We will do this until the homecoming is finished," said Fadil.

The Kapolda also instructed all personnel who carry out patrols to carry out patrols sympathetically, as well as visit and establish communication with the community.

He also instructed patrol officers to communicate with the community who carry out environmental security, such as security units, hansip, youth organizations, mosque youth, or mass organizations that volunteer to carry out security.

"The purpose of this large-scale patrol, aside from providing a sense of security, we also continue to maintain, during this fasting there are no prominent incidents. Let's continue this trend," he concluded.
