Sandiaga Uno Doesn't Go Home During Eid, Chooses To Take Care Of Tourist Attractions In Jakarta

JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno and his family chose not to leave Jakarta during the Idul Fitri 1443 H holiday.

Sandiaga Uno has indeed committed, this Eid, not to travel back and forth. He chose to monitor a number of tourist points in DKI Jakarta, especially with the easing of a number of regulations.

"At the moment of Eid, we and our families will monitor three tourist destinations, such as Ragunan, Ancol, and TMII. We will carry out gathering activities and tasting creative economy products. Fasting is down three kilos, after Eid, it's up two kilos," explained Sandiaga in a written statement, Saturday 30 April.

Sandiaga predicts that the Eid holiday in 2022 will have a positive impact on economic movements in the tourism sector. Even in the creative economy sector, it can reach up to IDR 72 trillion.

According to Sandi, there are two types of tourists who contribute to the circulation of the jumbo money, namely 'rojali' tourists and 'spiritual' tourists.

“Homecoming has the potential of IDR 72 trillion. The calculation is 80 million from the Minister of Transportation, based on previous data, 40 percent of them were on spiritual tours, groups who toured, paid retribution, as well as rojali, groups that bought creative economy products. If 40 percent is multiplied by 1.5 million, it's IDR 72 trillion,” said Sandi some time ago.
