Officers Will End One Way System At Kalikangkung Toll Gate, Semarang

JAKARTA - The implementation of the one-way system at the Kalikangkung toll gate Semarang, Central Java, which has been going on since Thursday afternoon, April 28, is scheduled to be stopped today (Saturday April 30).

Head of the Lebaran Security Post for Kalikangkung Semarang Toll Gate, Ipda Riyadi, said preparations to change the flow to two directions had been prepared.

"Sterilization has started. Officers at the toll booths have also started arranging signs for the opening of substations for vehicles from the east," he said, quoted by Antara.

Furthermore, he said, just waiting for directions from the center to start opening the flow from the east.

He explained that one of the considerations for the one-way closure was that the flow of vehicles from the west had begun to decline. "It peaked last night, now it's gone down," he said.

According to him, there is no longer a long line of vehicles at the Kalikangkung toll gate. The number of vehicles crossing the Kalikangkung gate from 00.00 to 11.00 WIB was recorded at 20,104 vehicles.

The average number of vehicles passing at the Kalikangkung gate today reached 1,827 vehicles per hour. This number decreased compared to the previous day which reached 2,884 vehicles per hour.
