A robber whose identity has not been identified became the target of the masses when he was caught after snatching the victim's cellphone.

Hundreds of crowds gathered around the location. The masses were furious at the actions of the robbers.

In fact, a man claiming to be a member of the police was also a victim of a beating when he tried to disperse a mass action that started to become brutal because they wanted to burn the perpetrator's motorbike.

The plainclothes police officer was beaten up after opening fire in the air to disperse the crowd.

Meanwhile, the perpetrators of the robbery were arrested by members of the Cakung Police Patrol using a patko car. The mob continued to chase the perpetrators while wanting to kill the perpetrators, even though they were already secured in a patrol car.

The anger of the masses grew even more violent when the perpetrators were arrested by the police. The mob will burn the motorbike used by the perpetrators during the robbery.

However, the action was repelled by plainclothes police officers by firing into the air. The masses actually vented their frustration on the man who claimed to be a policeman.

"I am a member, I am a member," said a middle-aged man who claimed to be a member of the police at the scene, Friday, April 29.

According to Udin, an eye witness to the incident, the victim of the mugging was a resident of Cakung. There were two perpetrators and the robbery took place not at the location where the perpetrator was arrested.

"The one who was snatched by the cellphone has been taken. The two perpetrators, one escaped, one was caught (arrested by a resident) here by a tree cutter. He held the evidence. One perpetrator was arrested, one perpetrator fled," said Udin.

The perpetrators of the robbery along with the evidence were brought to the Cakung Sector Police Headquarters for further investigation.

Meanwhile, members of the police who were victims of the beatings by residents when dispersed the crowd by firing shots into the air were also taken to the Cakung Police.
