PeduliLindung Data Synchronization Is Still Bad, This Epidemiologist Admits He Has Had 5 Vaccines But Only 2 Have Been Recorded

JAKARTA - Epidemiologist from Griffith University Australia, Dicky Budiman, emphasized that the PeduliLindung application must be more careful in synchronizing the vaccination data of travelers.

"The system is not capable enough, I have done the steps and the direct contact with the DTO is until the fourth week, which means I am entering my fourth week in Indonesia, I can't," he said via voice message received, Antara, Jakarta, Thursday, April 28.

He admitted that he had received five doses of the vaccine, with details three times in Australia and twice in Indonesia. The three doses he received in Australia could not be recorded in the PeduliLindung application.

Various efforts have been made, either by contacting the officer or entering the requested data according to the procedure. “The previous three doses in Australia couldn't get into PeduliLindung. So in Indonesia, I have only been vaccinated with two doses. This shows that besides PeduliLindung has benefits, it still has limitations," said Dicky.

In order to prevent the appearance of a red color which means that the application has not been vaccinated, he has repeated two doses of the vaccine. “This is the solution that I finally took so that my PeduliLindung doesn't get red. So far, data on four doses of many other countries have been effective,” he said.

According to Dicky, the government must find a way so that the data in PeduliLindung can be integrated and synchronized properly. Because, if it continues to be ignored, this problem will continue to harm many people, especially homecomers who travel between countries.

For the KIPI (post-immunization follow-up) he felt, Dicky admitted that he only felt fever and pain for a short time. Despite getting five doses of the vaccine, no severe effects were felt.

"I convey my experience because to prove I have conveyed to the government that PeduliLindungi. Officers in the field do not know and do not understand, if there is no 'booster' (reinforcement), then I have to find a solution for me as well, "he said.
