This Morning The MBZ Elevated Toll Road Was Closed Again, Traffic Conditions Started Smoothly

JAKARTA - The police have again closed the Jakarta-Cikampek or Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed (MBZ) elevated toll road section. Consideration of closure due to traffic congestion.

"Yes, we have been closed since 08.15 WIB," said Director of Traffic of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo when confirmed, Thursday, April 28.

With this closure, vehicles passing from the direction of Jakarta are diverted to the lower section. The goal, to break down the density that occurs.

The closure of this elevated toll road is situational. That is, it will be reopened after traffic flows back smoothly.

Meanwhile, the condition of traffic flow as of 09.08 WIB is observed to have started smoothly.

"The traffic flow below is still smooth, the vehicle speed is 60 to 80 kilometers per hour," said Sambodo.

For information, the opening and closing scheme is implemented on the Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed (MBZ) elevated toll road section. This scheme has been implemented since Wednesday, April 27.

One of the considerations for implementing the open-close scheme is because of the congestion at KM 47. Thus, the scheme is considered the right way to break down the congestion.
