East Kalimantan Gets Quota For Hajj Pilgrims Of 1,174 People

SAMARINDA - The quota for prospective pilgrims in East Kalimantan Province in 2022 is 1,174 people or 45 percent of the 2020 hajj quota of 2,539 people.

The Head of the Administrative Bureau for the Regional Secretariat of the Regional Secretariat of the East Kalimantan Secretariat, M Syafranuddin, said that his party received the information based on the Fullboard Socialization and Administrative Technical Meeting for the Selection of Candidates for Regional Hajj Officers (PHD) which was held by the Director General of Hajj and Umrah Implementation of the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia.

"The activity was represented by the Head of the People's Welfare Bureau (Kesra) of the East Kalimantan Provincial Secretariat Andi Muhammad Ishak and has been submitted to the Adpim Bureau," said Syafranuddin in Samarinda, as reported by Antara, Wednesday, April 27.

Based on the explanation from the Welfare Bureau, Syafarnuddin continued, the 2022 hajj pilgrims are 65 years of age and under.

"The government of Saudi Arabia has given a quota of Indonesian Hajj pilgrims in 2022 as many as 100,051 people, consisting of 92,825 regular people, 7,226 special people and 1,901 officers," explained Syafranuddin.

Prospective East Kalimantan pilgrims who have the opportunity to leave in 2022 are prospective pilgrims who canceled their departure in 2020.

Based on the details of prospective pilgrims from East Kalimantan, 260 people came from Samarinda, Kutai Kartanegara (241), Balikpapan (239), Paser (112), East Kutai (81), Berau (68), Bontang (67), North Penajam Paser (60), West Kutai (41) and Mahakam Ulu as many as 5 people.

"The technical departure will be conveyed by the Ministry of Religion through Regional Offices and Religious Offices in districts and cities, including the division of the groups, where it is likely that East Kalimantan will only have two groups," explained Syafranuddin. Samarinda, namely 18,370 people and 530 people who have paid off the Hajj Ride Fee (ONH).

Followed by Balikpapan (6,322), Kutai Kartanegara (14,193), Paser (6,948), East Kutai (5,528), Bontang (5,370), Berau (4,501), North Penajam Paser (3,625), West Kutai (1,727) and Mahakam Ulu with 78 people.
