BMKG Will Announce Weather Information And Disaster Warning For The 2022 Eid Homecoming Route

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) said it will provide support for weather information and potential disasters that occur on the Lebaran 2022 homecoming route.

BMKG Deputy Meteorology Guswanto said the information provided included flight weather information, early warnings every 3 hours, along the Java, Sumatra and Kalimantan homecoming routes.

In addition, BMKG also provides weather information for travelers using sea transportation, with high wave information and port-to-port route information.

"This will nothing less and nothing more will provide comfort for travelers. Whether it's at the place of going home or later on vacation during Eid," said Guswanto in a broadcast monitored in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, April 27.

These services can be accessed through the BMKG info application, call center 196, and at 190 BMKG Technical Implementation Units throughout Indonesia.

"Where during this homecoming they serve all the community's needs for information on meteorology, climatology and geophysics, to go home safely," said Guswanto.

In addition, BMKG has also established a number of homecoming implementation posts. The first is at the BMKG Headquarters in Kemayoran, Jakarta for operations.

Then BMKG also established a homecoming post with relevant ministries/institutions on the homecoming route. There are also joint offices at ASDP Merak Port, Banten and Jakarta Tanjung Priok Port Command Post.

In addition, there are 34 coordinating posts, whose task is to coordinate at the regional level to coordinate with the Department of Transportation and the Regional Disaster Management Agency.
