Cars That Want To Enter The KM 57 Rest Area Of The Japek Toll Road Snaking To The Shoulder Of The Road, The Police Enforce The Opening And Closing

JAKARTA - Officers had implemented a system of opening and closing Rest Area KM 57 of the Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek) Toll Road. The reason is that there is a buildup of vehicles that will enter the KM 57 Rest Area.

Kasatlantas Polres Karawang AKP Laode Habibi Ade Jama explained, opening and closing is done when the condition of the rest area can no longer accommodate vehicles.

When the rest area was full, there was a queue of vehicles reaching the shoulder of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, Wednesday, April 27, quoted from Antara.

This condition resulted in overcrowding, so that the KM 57 Rest Area was opened and closed so that traffic flow remained smooth.

Meanwhile, the density of traffic flow on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road on H-5 Lebaran 2022 made officers perform "contra flow".

PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Corporate Communication and Community Development Group Head Dwimawan Heru said the "contra flow" was carried out starting from KM 47 in the Karawang area to KM 70 Cikampek Utama Toll Gate.

Traffic engineering "contra flow" was implemented from 07.36 WIB to 11.00 WIB with the aim of breaking down the traffic density on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road towards Cikampek.

"Contra flow" itself is one of the efforts of the police and Jasa Marga in dealing with traffic congestion on toll roads during Lebaran 2022 homecoming.

In addition to "contra flow", officers have prepared an odd-even system and "one-way" traffic engineering to overcome congestion on toll roads.
