Police Arrest Youth In Bali Who Spread Vulgar Photos Of Former Lover

DENPASAR - The police arrested a young man with the initials KM spreading vulgar screenshots of his ex-girlfriend. This young man threatened to distribute his intimate video if he refused to give Rp10 million.

“This case started with the circulation of screenshots of posts on Facebook accounts that posted screenshots of vulgar video footage of intimate scenes and then went viral on social media. The Bali Police's Ditreskrimsus Cyber Crime Team immediately carried out an investigation, ”said Director of Crime and Crime of the Bali Police, Kombes Yuliar Kus Nugroho, Friday, October 9.

According to Yuliar, the perpetrator deliberately spread vulgar content because it hurt his ex-girlfriend to have a relationship with another man. The perpetrator is known to have kept photos and videos of intimate scenes with the victim in 2018.

The victim who felt threatened reported the perpetrator to the Bali Police on Tuesday, October 6. Investigators immediately secured the perpetrators in Gianyar.

"The perpetrator was detained at the Bali Police Detention Center," said Yuliar.

The evidence confiscated from the perpetrator was 9 screeshot posts, a laptop and a cellphone.

The perpetrator is charged with the suspicion of Article 27 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 45 paragraph (1) of the Information and Electronic Transactions Law and / or Article 4 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 29 and / or Article 6 in conjunction with Article 32 of the Pornography Law and / or Article 76E jo Article 82 paragraph (1) of the Child Protection Law.
