Homecoming Flow 2022: Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Traffic Smoothly Tonight

JAKARTA - The Directorate of Traffic of the Polda Metro Jaya conveyed that the traffic flow of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road was monitored smoothly on Tuesday night or D-6 before Lebaran 1443 Hijri which fell on May 2.

"It was reported that at 21:10 WIB tonight from KM4 in the direction of Cikampek, the traffic flow was still quite smooth from observations," said Traffic Director of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo in a statement quoted by Antara, Tuesday, April 26.

Sambodo said that the traffic flow on the Semanggi-Cawang Inner City Toll Road was observed to be congested, however, the traffic flow returned smoothly when entering the Jagorawi Toll Road section.

"Earlier, there was an obstacle from Semanggi to Cawang and it was split leading to Jagorawi," he said.

Previously, PT Jasa Marga as the toll road manager noted that 598,538 vehicles left the Jabotabek area on D-10 to D-7 Eid Al-Fitr 1443 H/2022 which fell in the period Friday-Monday 22-25 April 2022.

This figure is the cumulative number of traffic (traffic) from the four Barrier/Main Toll Gates (GT), namely GT Cikupa (direction Merak), GT Ciawi (direction Puncak), and GT Cikampek Utama and GT Kalihurip Utama (direction Trans Java and Bandung).

The total volume of traffic leaving the Jabotabek area decreased by 0.3 percent when compared to normal traffic for the November 2021 period with a total of 600,107 vehicles.

For the distribution of traffic leaving Jabotabek heading in three directions, namely the majority as many as 282,848 vehicles (47.3%) towards the East (Trans Java and Bandung), 187,495 vehicles (31.3%) heading towards the West (Merak), and 128,195 vehicles. (21.4%) towards the South (Peak).

Jasa Marga appealed to toll road users to anticipate travel before entering the toll road.

Make sure the vehicle and driver are in top condition, comply with health protocols (using masks, washing hands and maintaining distance) while in the rest area, refilling fuel and sufficient electronic money balance, and obeying the signs and directions of officers.
