Train Tickets To Central Java-Jatim Sell Hard, 95-99 Percent Already Sold On 27 April-1 May

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) said that 95-99 percent of train tickets for Central Java and East Java on April 27 to May 1, 2022 have been sold.

"This means that the journey from April 27 to May 1, 2022, has a very dense occupancy rate, at 95-99 percent," said Head of Public Relations of PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Eva Chairunisa at Pasar Senen Station, Jakarta, Antara, Tuesday, April 26.

He said that during that period the tickets that were still available were only for medium-distance train types, such as Cirebon and Bandung. "For Central Java or East Java, the occupancy is already very dense," he said.

He advised new train service users to book tickets to choose a date after the Eid celebration if they still want to use the train as a homecoming transportation.

"There are dates that are still in the Lebaran moment, for example, such as D + 1 H + 2 H + 3, this can be an alternative. On May 3-5, there will still be around 50 percent of seats available," he said.

Eva appealed to travelers who use train services to arrange their luggage considering the number of passengers is quite dense.

"Please arrange your luggage. This means that you don't carry too many things and it can pose a risk of being left behind or also because of the hassle until you end up being left on the train," he said.

In addition, he also appealed to travelers to pay attention to the information on the time of departure.

"There are two timestamps. The first is the departure time from the initial station, the second is the arrival time of the train at the destination station. Now, there are some who misread the train, so pay attention again to the ticket, the date and time of departure," he said.
