JAKARTA - Secretary General (Sekjen) of PAN Eddy Soeparno reported back to Muannas Alaidid. Ade Armando's attorney was reported for a defamation case through electronic media.

Muannas responded casually to the report. He said Eddy would be the worst.

"He's getting worse," said Muannas on his Twitter account, @muannas_alaidid, quoted on Tuesday, April 26.

Muannas said that Eddy's fate would be like that of former members of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) who were often reported because of the content of his lectures. The members of the mass organizations that have been frozen by the government are in legal trouble due to allegations of blasphemy.

"Soon he will be the same as FPI members whose hobbies are shouting blasphemers and clerics," said Muannas.

PAN Secretary General Eddy Soeparno reported Muannas Alaidid on suspicion of defamation. The report was submitted to the Polda Metro Jaya on Monday 25 April.

The report has been received and registered with the number STTLP/B/2107/IV/2022/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA.

In the report, Muanas was suspected of violating Article 27 paragraph 3 in conjunction with Article 45 paragraph 3 of the Indonesian Law number 19 of 2016 concerning ITE and Articles 310, 311, 315 of the Criminal Code.

Previously, Muannas had sent Eddy a summons regarding a tweet that wrote that his client Ade Armando had committed blasphemy against religion and scholars.

"I support the investigation and legal action against perpetrators of violence against AA [Ade Armando], but I also support firm legal action against those who insult religion and scholars, including AA," wrote Eddy on his Twitter account, @eddy_soeparno April 12.

Muannas considers Eddy's tweet to lead to allegations of defamation and fake news/hoax according to Law No. 1 of 1946 concerning the Criminal Law Regulations Article 14 and Article 15.

Eddy's tweet, which is suspected of carrying out the accusations, is considered by Muannas and his team of attorneys, Ade Armandao, to harm and endanger both physically and mentally his client.

Muannas asked Eddy to delete the tweet and apologize within 3x24 hours. However, if these efforts are not made, Muannas and his team of attorneys Ade Armandao will sue Eddy both criminally and civilly.
