Traffic At Ciawi Intersection Is Still Normal

CIAWI - Traffic at the Ciawi intersection, which connects vehicles from the Jakarta, Sukabumi, Megamendung-Puncak toll roads, and Bogor City, West Java, as of Monday, April 25, is still normal.

"There has not been an increase in the volume of vehicles at the Ciawi intersection," said Head of the Ketupat Lodaya 2022 security post at the Ciawi intersection Kompol Asep Triyono when he was met at the Ciawi Intersection Pospam, reported by Antara.

According to Asep, who is also the Head of Ciawi Police, the traffic density is expected to occur starting Thursday (28/4) with the peak volume of vehicles approaching the evening of takbiran.

"It is possible that there will be heavy traffic ahead of the long holiday. We are trying from the 28th that we have been warned, everything is ready," said Asep

He explained that the anticipatory steps that have been prepared to deal with possible traffic congestion include traffic engineering such as lane diversion and other congestion-degrading steps.

The Ciawi Police and the Ketupat Lodaya 2022 Operation Security Post deployed 24 personnel from the police, assisted by personnel from the Koramil, the Transportation Service, and the Civil Service Police Unit, two to three people each. Seuseupan intersection, and Bendungan intersection towards Gadog.

For policies such as the implementation of contra flow, according to him, there is no plan to do so, but his party is prepared to open and close the road situationally by adjusting the situation on the ground and diverting the flow at the Ciawi red light.

He also appealed to travellers, both those carrying out homecoming and vacationing, through the Ciawi route to remain orderly in traffic.

"Prioritize safety because in Ciawi itself for the time being today there are still many large types of vehicles, but later after the 28th, large vehicles may be temporarily rested," he said.
