Gorontalo Governor Allows ASN To Use Official Cars For Homecoming, As Long As You Don't Go Far

JAKARTA - Gorontalo Governor Rusli Habibie allowed officials to go home for Lebaran with official cars, because he considered that many of his officials only went home locally and not far from Gorontalo City.

"They've worked hard all this time, and they can't even use the official car. That name is not wise. Even though the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) forbids it, I allow it but on the condition that you don't go too far. I don't think it's possible for them to go home in official cars to Java," said Rusli, quoting Antara, Sunday, April 24.

For Rusli, the official car is a facility provided by the state to assist the mobility of its officials.

Especially during Lebaran, he said, a number of officials continued to carry out their duties, especially work related to going home and Eid.

Therefore, he allows the use of official cars when going home for Eid as long as they are used responsibly.

“The official car is attached to the office. It is forbidden if it is used by his wife or children, but even that if in an urgent situation is also okay," he said.

However, he also asked officials to comply with these provisions while using official cars for going home.
