BP Jamsostek Supports Victims Of Alfamart Peat Collapse In Banjar, South Kalimantan, Up To Hundreds Of Millions Of Rupiah

BANJARMASIN - The Employment Social Security Administration Agency (BP Jamsostek) provided compensation for the victims of the collapse of the Alfamart building in Gambut, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan up to hundreds of millions of rupiah.

BPJAMSOSTEK Service Director Roswita Nilakurnia said her staff moved quickly to provide the right to treatment and compensation for the victims that occurred on Monday, April 18.

According to Roswita, based on the search results, it was known that 9 of the 14 victims were active participants of BPJAMSOSTEK.

Of the 9 participants from BP Jamsostek, 4 of them died, 4 were treated at the Work Accident Service Center (PLKK) BP Jamsostek, and 1 person was slightly injured and has been allowed to go home.

"The entire extended family of BP Jamsostek expresses deep condolences for the tragic collapse of Alfamart. Participants who need treatment have been rushed to our cooperative hospital, and 4 participants who died, their families or heirs will receive compensation according to their benefits," said Roswita reported by Antara, Thursday, April 21.

A total of 4 participants who died received death compensation of 48 times the reported wages because they were included in work accidents.

There are also benefits received by each participant's family or heirs, namely, Hanafi of Rp. 193 million, Ahmad Nayada of Rp. 163 million, Akbariansyah and Misnawati receiving death compensation and child scholarship benefits of Rp. 305 million and Rp. 248 million, respectively.

In addition, he will also inherit the periodic pension benefit of Rp. 4.3 million per year.

Roswita continued, that all financing for the 5 victims who are still being treated will be fully borne by BPJAMSOSTEK.

This is part of the protection of the Work Accident Insurance Program (JKK), namely, unlimited treatment according to medical indications until you are healed and able to work again.

The hospitals that are used as a place to treat victims are Sultan Agung Islamic Hospital and Ciputra Banjar Hospital.

If during the recovery period, the victim is unable to work for a while, BP Jamsostek will also provide Temporary Incapacitated Work (STMB) compensation of 100 percent of the reported wages for 12 months, and then 50 percent of the wages until recovered.

"I represent the extended family of BP Jamsostek, conveying my deepest condolences to the participants of the victims who died and the families left behind. I make sure that all victims will get their rights as participants of BP Jamsostek. Of course we will also continue to monitor the development of the health conditions of the victims," said Roswita.

Due to this incident, Roswita again appealed to all workers and employers to ensure that they are protected by the employment social security program, because work risks can occur anytime and anywhere.

"Hopefully there is a lesson that we can both take, of course the compensation received will not be able to replace the figure of the person we love," he said.
