BENGKULU - Bengkulu Governor Rohidin Mersyah allowed state civil servants (ASN) within the provincial government to use official cars to go home for Lebaran 1443 Hijriah from the origin of the homecoming destination in Bengkulu province.

"You can as long as you are still within the Bengkulu Province, such as living in the Bengkulu City area and wanting to go to the Sukaraja District, Seluma Regency," said the Governor, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, April 20.

He emphasized that ASN within the Bengkulu Provincial Government should not use official cars for Lebaran homecoming to areas outside the Bengkulu province.

The governor added that ASN who use official cars for going home must bear the vehicle operational costs and repair costs if the car is damaged when used for homecoming.

According to him, the provincial government decided to allow the use of official cars for going home because some of the heads of regional apparatus organizations (OPD) who received official car facilities did not have private vehicles.

"It is impossible for the OPD head to use public transportation even though there are operational vehicles that can be used," he said.
