Immigration Ensures Chinese Foreign Workers Wear Military-Like Uniforms In Aceh, Not Soldiers

MEULABOH - Head of the Meulaboh Non Immigration Checkpoint (TPI) Immigration Office, West Aceh Regency, Azhar said the seven-second video showing a Chinese foreign worker (TKA) wearing a military-style uniform is not a Chinese soldier.

"The military uniform worn by a foreign worker in the PLTU Nagan Raya Aceh construction project is the clothes of workers in China," said Azhar, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, April 19.

He explained that this fact was obtained after the Meulaboh Immigration party coordinated with the Military District Command 0116 Nagan Raya, Aceh and a number of other related parties.

Azhar said the military-style uniform previously worn by a foreign worker from China at the PLTU 3-4 Nagan Raya construction site, in the Suak Puntong Village area, Kuala Pesisir District, Nagan Raya Regency, Aceh Province, was brought from the foreign worker's country of origin when he was going to work in Indonesia.

However, on Sunday (17/4) the uniform was worn by a foreign worker and then recorded by a friend, so that later it became viral on social media.

In order to prevent similar actions, the Meulaboh Immigration officers together with Kodim 0116 Nagan Raya, Aceh, have reminded the management of the company that brought the foreign worker to Indonesia to no longer wear uniforms similar to military attire.

So that later it will not lead to negative interpretations from the community and prevent negative opinions in the community.
