MEDAN - A video showing a white banner that reads criticism from citizens has gone viral on social media. After being traced, the banner was located on Jalan Besar Pasar XI Punggulan, Air Joman District, Asahan Regency, North Sumatra.

The banners were deliberately put up by local residents who were annoyed with the badly damaged road conditions. I was so upset, residents wrote that the street satire was sold.

"For sale Jln Psr XI," the banner reads.

A resident, Muhammad Indra when confirmed, said that the damaged road had been going on for 10 years. He explained, the status of the road belongs to the Province of North Sumatra.

"Even though this village is a cross-provincial road. But the road has been going on for more than 10 years and nothing is good," said Indra, confirmed by VOI, Monday, April 18.

This road is the access to Ustaz Abdul Somad's residence.

"This is Ustaz Abdul Somad's hometown. This is where Ustaz's parents live," he explained.

Indra explained, last year the government had carried out road maintenance by sticking to the road with holes. However, the absence of regular maintenance makes the road worse.

"Last year, there was road maintenance as well, but only pasted it. But it's been almost a year since the PU (service) has paid no attention to it, just left it alone. The road is getting worse and the potholes are quite deep," he said.

Until now, he said, banners criticizing residents were still attached. That way, he hopes that the government will pay more attention to the road.

"The banners are still there until now. With the viral video, so far no government has come down to check on the location," he said.
