Lazy To Respond To Reports To MKD About Luhut, Masinton: Comedy, People Wait For Honesty, Not Report Mobilization

JAKARTA - Member of the DPR RI from the PDIP faction, Masinton Pasaribu, opened his voice regarding his reporting to the Honorary Court of the Council (MKD) today, Monday, April 18. Masinton was reported by the United Indonesia Volunteers (RIB) because he was deemed to have caused a commotion with his remarks which were deemed to have attacked the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of the Republic of Indonesia Luhut Binsar Panjaitan.

Masinton thought the report was just part of a joke. He also admitted that he was lazy to take it seriously, because there was no legal basis.

"I'm sorry I didn't respond to the circus comedy reports. What's the legal standing of reporting it?," said Masinton to reporters, Monday, April 18.

The member of Commission XI of the DPR said that if the RIB as a reporter came to MKD with the big data claimed by Luhut, then he would seriously respond. Because Masinton said, this is a form of transparency to the public. The public is also waiting for the data Luhut is referring to.

"People will be happy with officials who convey honest and open information. People are waiting for honesty, not mobilizing reports," he stressed. Previously, the Coordinator of the United Indonesia Volunteer Presidium (RIB) Lisman Hasibuan, reported Masinton to the DPR MKD for uttering unethical sentences and attacking Luhut.

"Reporting Brother Masinton Pasaribu, a member of the DPR RI from the PDIP, which we have seen in public for the past few days has caused quite a stir. He used unethical language, attacking Mr. Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan," said Lisman Hasibuan at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, April 18th. It is known, Masinton asked Luhut to resign from his position because he echoed the postponement of the election and called the big data issue a hoax. In fact, according to Lisman, Luhut really helped President Joko Widodo in the government.

"What we know is that he is the presidential assistant who is currently very helpful to the president in building and overseeing the Jokowi government," he continued.

"He shouldn't be good at voicing this to the public, let alone attacking head-on to Mr Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, who we consider to be an old man," he said.

According to him, the report has been received by the MKD DPR RI. He also showed a receipt from the Constitutional Court which contained a report against Masinton Pasaribu.

"We asked the MKD to summon Bung Masinton Pasaribu for questioning, because it is not good, if he wants to reprimand or criticize, there is a forum, especially since he is a member of the DPR RI," said Lisman.
