Accompanied By Gus Muwafiq, Ganjar Pilgrimage To Bung Karno's Tomb: Good People Help Even After Death

JAKARTA - Central Java (Central Java) Governor Ganjar Pranowo fills the holy month of Ramadan with a pilgrimage. This time, he visited the grave of the 1st President of Indonesia, Soekarno.

This can be seen from the uploads of his social media accounts. Ganjar is grateful to be able to take the time to return to visit Bung Karno's final resting place, which was originally named Taman Bahagia.

"Alhamdulillah, we can return to visit Bung Karno's Tomb in Blitar," said Ganjar on his Twitter @ganjarpranowo, Sunday, April 17.

Not alone, Ganjar accompanied by KH Ahmad Muwafiq or Gud Muwafiq came to the tomb. Ganjar and the Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) figure visited at night.

The PDI-P (PDIP) politician said that Bung Karno's services would never go away with time. Even though his figure has passed away, his thoughts will continue to be remembered by future generations.

"Gus Muwafiq ngendika, good people will always bring benefits even though they have died," he added.

In his Twitter account, Ganjar also uploaded a photo during a pilgrimage to Bung Karno's grave. Both are seen giving flowers on the grave.

Visiting Ganjar's grave, he was seen wearing a black cap wrapped in a white sturdy shirt complete with a sarong. Meanwhile, Gus Muwafiq is more relaxed in a plain white t-shirt and wears a sarong as a bottom.

Previously, Ganjar visited the Al Ilyans Islamic Boarding School in Karanganyar, Central Java. In this moment of the holy month of Ramadan, Ganjar admits that he wants to practice his Islam by staying in touch.

"Alhamdulillah, we were able to get in touch with the kiai and students at the Al Ilyas Islamic Boarding School in Karanganyar. There was a lot of inspiration when we chatted with the students. Hopefully we will continue to be given the strength to do good," said Ganjar.
