Regent's Instruction: Puskemas In Purbalingga Regency Required To Hold PCR Test Of 8 People / Day

JAKARTA - Every health center in Purbalingga district now has a special task. They are required to do a PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) test, at least eight people per day.

Reporting from the official website of the Central Java Provincial Government, the Head of the Purbalingga District Health Office, Drg Hanung Wikantono, said that this instruction came from the Regent of Purbalingga. Starting Tuesday, October 6th. These instructions were immediately forwarded to all puskesmas heads in the Purbalingga area.

The target was made in order to meet the target of the World Health Organization (WHO), namely the PCR test should be carried out on one per thousand population every week. Of these targets, the tests conducted in Purbalingga District only reached 18 percent or 917 people last September.

"Purbalingga Regency should be able to carry out PCR tests on 943 people per week. With a target of eight people for 22 puskesmas for seven days, it is hoped that the WHO target can be met," said Hanung.

The target PCR test starts for health workers, positive patient environments, factory employees, or tracing results for 30 people who have interacted with positive patients. Hanung said, the status of the Covid-19 Pandemic in Purbalingga Regency is in the orange zone.

As of Monday, October 5, 41 positive patients were treated. The total number of positive cases was 185 people from March, 142 of whom have recovered. So, the cure rate is still below 80 percent, which is 76.75 percent.

"Now every day new cases emerge, even though some recovered so that the existence of Covid-19 cannot be underestimated. (Its existence) has involved various clusters, such as office clusters, health workers and so on. Tomorrow I close the Pengadegan Health Center for three days because there are midwives who positive Covid-19 there, "he said.

Meanwhile, the Acting Regent of Purbalingga, Sarwa Pramana, confirmed the Purbalingga Health Office's move to pursue the PCR test target from WHO. In addition to disciplining health protocols, the DHO also needs to carry out 3T more strictly, namely testing, tracing, and treatment.

"Hopefully when the regent finishes his leave, on December 6, the Covid-19 case will start to slope in Purbalingga," he said.

To the Covid-19 Task Force Team, the Acting Regent asked to be aware of crowds in traditional markets and not make it easier to grant permits to organize events that involve mass gathering of more than 50 people. In addition, village heads were asked to carry out an area quarantine (lockdown) at the RT level for areas exposed to Covid-19, and must activate the Jogo Tonggo Task Force by prioritizing humanitarian and social concerns.

"For health workers, they must use PPE, level three if possible, so as not to become victims of dishonesty from patients exposed to Covid-19," he said.
